Tomoko Takahashi's 'Perhect' World
It comes as a surprise that the first Internet project to get recognition outside the new media art niche has been created by someone who has never used new media in her work before. However, Tomoko Takahashi's passion for using huge spaces, to create installations which urge us to question the role of objects in our lives, makes her an ideal candidate for using virtual space to question the dehumanising effects of technology.

The nomination of Tomoko's project, alongside her installations, for a prestigious award is a huge breakthrough for the new media arena.
